Starting a Career in Real Estate
29th August, 2018
REIWA Training is hosting an information night on Monday 3 September about starting a career in real estate.
This is a free event for anyone wanting to come along and find out about current industry requirements and the skills and knowledge you need to start a career in real estate.
The careers night, which is being held at REIWA Training in Subiaco, will feature agents who are currently working in the industry speaking about various career options and will answer questions about working in real estate.
There will also be information available about REIWA Training’s sales and property management courses.
REIWA Training is the largest provider of real estate training in WA and we only deal with real estate. Andrew Harris, a graduate from the REIWA registration courses, commented that the training he received set him up for a successful career.
“I completed the sales registration course online with REIWA Training while still working full-time and transitioning from another career. The staff and trainers made the transition and my learning experience as seamless as possible. They were so helpful and encouraging. I would recommend REIWA Training to anyone considering a career in real estate. They certainly made a difference in my world and they will make a difference in yours,” he said.
REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said the real estate industry provides a constantly challenging and rewarding career.
“The real estate market never dies and is always changing which is very exciting when your work depends on it. It doesn’t take long to become an expert on your local real estate area.
“There are many varied career pathways within the real estate industry. To succeed, good communication skills, being an all-around people person, having the mindset of a problem solver, being self-motivated with good attention to detail and the ability to engage with your clients is an asset.
“Obviously, an understanding of the housing market and an interest in houses and architecture is also helpful. Above all, it is important to be ethical, honest and have the integrity to be able to build long-lasting relationships,” Mr Pozzi said.
