Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 16 May 2021

Sales activity decreased 14 per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 889 transactions.

This decrease can be attributed to a 13 per cent decline in house sales, a 15 per cent decline in unit sales and a 26 per cent decline in vacant land sales during the week.

Properties for sale

There were 9,017 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is one per cent more than the previous week.

A closer look at listing stock levels shows house listings increased by one per cent, listings for units increased three per cent and listings for vacant land decreased by one per cent.

Last week’s total figure is four per cent higher than four weeks ago and 22 per cent lower than a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were 2,870 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is the same as last week.

Last week’s rental listings figure is three per cent higher than four weeks ago and 44 per cent lower than a year ago.
