Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 27 February 2022

Sales activity decreased one per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 1,094 transactions.

This can be attributed to a 26 per cent decline in vacant land sales. There was no change to house sales during the week and unit sales increased five per cent.

Properties for sale

There were 7,913 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is similar to the previous week.

A closer look at listing stock levels shows house listings decreased by one per cent, listings for units were stable and vacant land increased three per cent.

Last week’s total figure is two per cent lower than four weeks ago and one per cent higher than a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were 2,216 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is five per cent less than the previous week.

Last week’s rental listings figure is four per cent lower than four weeks ago and 20 per cent lower than the same time last year.

Leasing activity increased one per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 775 properties leased.
